Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas nursing license.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP and STABLE certifications may be required based on discipline/nursing unit requirements.
• RN I < 1 year; RN II 1-3 years; RN III 3-10 years; RN IV 10+ years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and age/needs of the patient.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and standards of care.
• Coordinates treatment plans; develops and implements discharge/transfer plans.
• Participates in evaluation of programs and quality improvement to achieve client-centered outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards; ensures safety for patients, staff, and visitors.
