Job summary

The role requires BSN preferred, Texas RN license, BLS, NRP, STABLE as applicable, and advancement through RN I-IV experience bands; you will participate in care planning, discharge planning, and ongoing quality improvement with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing; BLS; NRP; STABLE may be required based on unit.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve outcomes based on data and standards of care.
• Coordinates treatment plans; develops and implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation, process improvement and outcomes.
• Meets regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards; ensures safety for patients, staff and visitors.
• Promotes professional growth and may serve as preceptor or mentor.
