Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support NICU and pediatric patients. You will perform critical care and diagnostic respiratory therapy, operate and maintain equipment, and collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires NBRC credential, Texas license, BLS, and NRP certification for NICU staff. Join our team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a busy, specialized setting.

Qualifications

• Acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by NBRC.
• Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment.
• Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostics and therapies as prescribed.
• Maintain equipment and ensure quality control.
• Communicate care plans with physicians and nursing staff.
• Document procedures and patient responses in the chart.
• Provide therapy and reassess patients as needed.
