Job summary

Denver Health Medical Center is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (or Neonatal Physician Assistant) to join our NICU team. The role operates under a Neonatologist, caring for infants in a 25-bed level IIIB NICU with opportunities to teach residents and students.

You will lead high-risk deliveries, perform neonatal procedures, support discharge planning, and contribute to quality improvement and interdisciplinary committees within a safety-net teaching hospital.

Qualifications

• Completion of NICU-specific training as NP or PA.
• Experience in neonatal intensive care settings preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high‑risk deliveries and family communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical/intensive care and discharge planning for NICU patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Attend and lead high-risk deliveries.
• Perform NICU procedures including resuscitation and intubation.
• Provide antepartum consultation and nursery support.
• Navigate EPIC EHR entries and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and teaching activities.
