Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Level IV NICU Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7P-7A). The NICU unit provides advanced care in a high-volume setting, with a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care for newborns and families.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN required with 12 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital)
• Texas State RN license or compact license accepted
• Must have 1 year recent Level III or IV NICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
• STABLE must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitation (NRP) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient care
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes
• Supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN scope of practice
• Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice
