Job summary

Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, CT, is seeking a Lead Advanced Practitioner-NICU for on-site leadership of the NICU APP team, education, hiring collaboration, and policy development with the NICU medical director.

You will balance administrative duties with hands-on clinical care of newborns, lead recruitment and training, participate in team meetings, and ensure high-quality patient and family outcomes across the NICU.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for nursing or physician assistant with at least 10 years of clinical care experience.
• NNP certification or PA licensure is required by hire date; NRP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Balance administrative duties with clinical care; primarily dayshift with coverage flexibility.
• Develop clinical policies and procedures with physicians and administration.
• Recruit, train, and retain NICU APPs; oversee education and development.
• Coordinate patient care and participate in team meetings and program initiatives.
• Respond to life-threatening emergencies in neonate care settings.
