Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado seeks a Neonatal Advanced Practice Lead to supervise APPs, optimize staffing, and drive quality in a Level III NICU at the Anschutz Campus. The role combines clinical leadership with operational oversight across CHCO and partner sites.

The position offers a 40-hour work week with benefits, a sign-on bonus up to $30,000 for external applicants, and relocation support. Prior Level III NICU and APP leadership experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• BSN and Master's Degree NNP or Bachelor's Degree and MPAS or MS-PA.
• Two years in an advanced practice provider role.
• Experience in a Level III NICU is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads team members in providing direct patient care by demonstrating expert clinical knowledge and promoting professional standards.
• Partners with a multidisciplinary team to meet clinical needs and enhance patient/family experience.
• Provides oversight of schedules and workflows, including assigning team members to patients.
• Ensures staffing resources are allocated appropriately and adjust coverage to meet needs.
• Resolves day-to-day operational issues and makes decisions considering multiple perspectives.
• Collaborates with site management to analyze operational data and KPIs to optimize care and efficiency.
• Leads onboarding, training, and education for team members and mentors projects focusing on clinical practice improvement.
• Aids team in achieving clinical and quality outcomes and professional development standards.
• Collaborates with leadership to align initiatives and ensure accountability and outcomes.
• Oversees development and performance management including hiring and promotions.
• Reviews policies to ensure compliance and partners in policy development.

Skills

Two years in APP role

Level III NICU experience (preferred)

Education
