Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a NICU Advance Practice Provider for outreach locations in Winfield, IL and Geneva, IL.

The APP will provide expert clinical care in a Level 3/4 NICU setting within a multidisciplinary team and participate in staff education and research activities. Requirements include a Master’s degree for NP/PA, IL APRN/PA licensure, and BLS; pediatric-specific certification may be required within 6 months depending on area.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited program for NP/PA certification
• Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience preferred
• Illinois APRN/PA licensure is required
• BLS certification; Pediatric Life Support or equivalent within 6 months may be required in some areas

Responsibilities

• Provides expert clinical care, education, consultation, advocacy, research, leadership and mentorship.
• Manages primary, acute and chronic health problems with comprehensive assessment and diagnoses.
• Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests and procedures; prescribes interventions.
• Supports professional development and participates in credentialing and privileging as required.
