Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a NICU Advanced Practice Provider for outreach locations in Winfield and Geneva.

This PRN/part-time role requires a skilled clinician to provide expert patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 3/4 NICU setting. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree for NP/PA certification, Illinois APRN/PA licensure, BLS, and relevant NICU experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited program for NP/PA certification.
• Two years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Licensure in Illinois as an APRN/PA required.
• BLS certification required; Pediatric Life Support may be required within 6 months.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert clinical care, education, consultation, advocacy and mentorship.
• Manages primary, acute and chronic health problems through history and physical examination, diagnosis.
• Orders, performs and interprets tests; prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
• Collaborates with medical team to deliver evidence-based care and best practices.
• Participates in research design, implementation and interpretation.
