Job summary

Advocate Children's Hospital seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our NICU team in Oak Lawn, IL. This part-time role (28 hours/week) offers care for high-acuity neonates in a Level III/IV NICU and requires a fellowship and Illinois licensure.

The APP will provide advanced assessments, develop treatment plans, and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based neonatal care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program or Neonatal PA program with fellowship.
• Illinois license required to practice.
• National certification as NNP-BC or PA-C with neonatal fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced neonatal care in a high-acuity NICU setting.
• Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and manage critically ill newborns.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
• Perform neonatal procedures within scope and competency.
• Collaborate with neonatologists and care team to optimize outcomes.
• Communicate with families about status and plans.
