Job summary

Carle Health in Rapid City, SD seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting plans of care as needed. The role serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students.

Responsibilities include designing care plans, educating patients and families, and documenting outcomes. Candidates must hold a PT license and BLS certification; ongoing CE for acute stroke care is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with an active license.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Commited to continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Designs an appropriate plan of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Documents in accordance with CTSCP67 and regulatory standards.
• Supervises PTA and rehabilitation technicians as applicable.
• Communicates patient progress and discharge planning with the medical team.
