Job summary

Carle Health seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adapting plan of care as needed and serving as a clinical resource for staff and students.

The role includes designing individualized care plans, educating patients and families, and supervising PT aides, with a focus on safety, evidence-based practice, and positive patient outcomes. This position offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities across rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Licensed PT in good standing.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days.
• Completion of required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to transfer patients with safe body mechanics.
• Designs an appropriate plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Educates patients, families, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations using reliable methods relevant to the chief complaint.
• Produces documentation in accordance with CTSCP67.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and effectiveness.
• Supervises PTA and rehabilitation technicians and provides feedback.
• Completes annual education to comply with Hip and Knee program requirements.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy

Licensed Physical Therapist (PT)

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Continuing education in acute stroke care
