Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in the applicable jurisdiction (IDFPR reference indicates Illinois).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transfers patients safely with assistance as needed and uses proper body mechanics.
• Demonstrates empathy and treats patients and staff with dignity and respect.
• Designs and adjusts a plan of care aligning goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plans.
• Educates patients, families, and colleagues using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Performs examinations with reliable, valid methods relevant to chief complaint and history.
• Documents in accordance with CTSCP67.
• Screens patients to determine need for further therapy services.
• Supervises PTA and rehab technicians per regulatory guidelines.
