South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is seeking candidates to join a mission-driven team dedicated to public safety and integrity. This role involves maintaining and processing NICS Indices data and ensuring compliance with state and federal law.

The position requires a high school diploma, clerical experience, and completion of NCIC Full Function Certification within six months of hire. Travel statewide may be required, and SLED offers an extensive benefits package.

Competenze

• High school diploma.
• Prior clerical experience is required; related education may substitute.
• Must complete NCIC Full Function Certification within six months of hire.

Mansioni

• Review, research, and process probate court adjudications for entry into the NICS Indices as required by law.
• Query the Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) and Armed Security Guard Databases for individuals entered into the NICS Indices for revocation.
• Perform quality assurance to ensure entries are correct with supporting documentation.
• Keep up to date on research, coding procedures, laws, legislation, and policies to ensure accurate information is added to the NICS Indices with proper documentation.
• Respond to the FBI or Point of Contact States regarding U21s within the required time frame.
