South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is seeking an investigator to support the Low Country Region through thorough investigations, collaboration with local agencies, and preparation of detailed case reports. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, current Class I LEO certification, at least three years of law enforcement experience, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Overnight travel and 24-hour on-call duties are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must be a current certified Class I Law Enforcement Officer through the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.
• Minimum of three years of law enforcement experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Position is subject to overnight travel and 24-hour emergency call.
• Must have the ability to perform all of the physical requirements of a certified Class I LEO.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct investigations: gather facts, interview suspects, victims and witnesses.
• Support local law enforcement: provide manpower and technical assistance.
• Prepare written and oral reports; provide testimony in court as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks: training, communications, and case management.
• Support program areas within SLED (e.g., intelligence, missing person matters).
