Job summary

Natera, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Manager to own the physical operations, asset management, and EH&S compliance for a high-throughput NGS research lab in California.

You will drive lab efficiency through data-driven decision making and partner with Facilities, Engineering, IT, and Procurement to keep projects on schedule. You will supervise stocking, safety protocols, and maintenance for key instruments like NGS sequencers, liquid handlers, and PCR systems, ensuring audit-ready records and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field.
• At least two years of hands-on laboratory experience; lab management experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and EH&S compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized laboratory meeting standards.
• Establish workspace organization, labeling conventions, and waste segregation.
• Own housekeeping schedules, decontamination routines, and waste pickup coordination.
• Ensure adequate stocking of consumables at point of use.
• Act as lab safety point of contact ensuring PPE availability and spill readiness.
• Coordinate maintenance, calibration, service visits, and repairs for major instrumentation.
• Own end-to-end inventory management including reorder points and stock rotation.
• Maintain storage integrity across freezers and refrigerators with clear location tracking.
