• State Law and health/safety policies must be followed (see links).
• School level AD should keep concussion certificate on file each year.
• School level AD should keep Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificate on file each year.
• Complete NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and First Aid, Health & Safety for Coaches as applicable.
• New: NFHS Heat Illness Prevention course must be completed and kept on file each year.
• New: All coaches must complete the NFHS COVID-19 Course.

Responsibilities

Non-faculty Coaches and Classified Employee Coaches must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position. Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013, will not be required to take the NFHS courses.
