Job summary

Hamilton County Department of Education is seeking qualified personnel to oversee coaching and compliance duties for non-faculty and classified employee coaches. The role requires maintaining updated course certificates, including NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches, and NFHS Heat Illness Prevention, with annual copies on file.

All coaches must complete the NFHS COVID-19 course.

Qualifications

• Coaches must keep concussion certificates on file annually.
• Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificates must be kept on file annually.
• When applicable, completion of "Fundamentals of Coaching" must be on file.
• When applicable, completion of "First Aid, Health, & Safety" on file.
• When applicable, completion of “NFHS Heat Illness Prevention” course must be on file annually.
• All coaches must complete the NFHS COVID-19 course.

Responsibilities

• Maintain concussion certificates on file every year.
• Maintain Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificates on file every year.
• Ensure completion and filing of required NFHS coaching and safety courses.
• Keep NFHS Heat Illness Prevention certificates on file annually where applicable.
• Ensure all coaches complete NFHS COVID-19 course.

Responsibilities

Non-faculty Coaches and Classified Employee Coaches must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position. Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013, will not be required to take the NFHS courses.
