Job summary

Westwoods Community Church in Lakewood, CO is seeking a NextGen Pastor to lead Birth through College ministries on-site. You will recruit and train volunteers, build a healthy leadership culture, and guide the next generation toward Jesus with clarity, integrity, and relational care.

The role emphasizes team development, cross-generational collaboration with Kids Ministry, and outreach that grows families and community impact. A Christ-centered, disciple-making mindset is essential.

Qualifications

Must understand the vision, mission and values of Westwoods and the role of the next generation.
Passion for ministry to kids and students (birth–college).
Ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteer leaders.
Value developing apprentices and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

Operate as the main Pastor of Student Ministry.
Develop a strong team of leaders to carry the weight of student and young adult ministry.
Create culture of authenticity and value where students feel safe, real, open to share.
Grow the number of students and families reached on Monday evenings and beyond.
Oversight of Kids Ministry in conjunction with the Kids Ministry Pastor and volunteers.
Communicate clearly with the next generation and their parents.
Create environments for people to grow together as a team outside of the church.
