Job summary

AMD invites current undergraduates to join the Hardware Design Verification Engineering intern/co-op program in the United States. You will contribute to the design, build, and delivery of AMD's high-end Machine Intelligence hardware, collaborating with senior engineers across verification, tooling, and system-level testing.

You should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with skills in C++, Python, Verilog/SystemVerilog, Linux, and lab instrumentation.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of C++, Python, Verilog/SystemVerilog is highly encouraged.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix/Windows environments and lab equipment.
  • Interest in digital design, hardware verification, and AI hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers to build/complete verification test plans and models.
  • Write scripts to manage compute resources (Perl/Python/Shell).
  • Assist with test regression flows and debugging of hardware/software features.
  • Support production validation and system-level testing on hardware.
  • Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance.
