St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Transition Registered Nurse (RN) for the Newborn Nursery.

The role focuses on coordinating and delivering direct patient care during the critical two-hour transition after birth, including Apgar assignment, skin-to-skin bonding, breastfeeding support, and neonate monitoring. The ideal candidate has 1 year of RN experience and a background in newborn or mother-baby care, with NLN-accredited RN coursework and a BSN preferred.

Qualificações

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN
• Experience in Newborn, Mother Baby, NICU, or transition care setting
• BSN preferred

Responsabilidades

• Attend deliveries to advocate for newborn needs
• Complete head-to-toe newborn and mother assessments during transition
• Monitor newborn stability and newborn/mother well-being
• Administer medications and collect samples as needed
• Mentor Labor and Delivery and Mother Baby nurses during busy times
