Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work with one year of related experience OR Master’s in a human services field with one year of related experience.
  • Equivalent education/experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate statewide newborn screening follow-up per the NC State Laboratory protocol.
  • Collaborate with SLPH, medical specialists, and NBS advisory committee.
  • Document follow-up activities in the newborn screening database.
  • Develop and revise follow-up protocols with staff.
  • Provide educational presentations and technical assistance on newborn screening.
