Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to provide hearing screens in the hospital after a baby is born. You will work on-site at hospital locations to screen newborns for hearing loss and enter data accurately.

On-the-job training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology are provided. You will educate parents, help schedule outpatient appointments, and assist with equipment issues while adhering to hospital and program policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.
• Entry level healthcare experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performing newborn hearing screens in hospital rooms.
• Entering patient data and validating screen results.
• Educating parents about the importance of the screen.
• Assisting with scheduling and equipment issues as needed.
