Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns. You will work on-site at one or more hospital locations and receive on-the-job training, including American Academy of Audiology-certified instruction.

You will gather data, perform screens, educate parents, and ensure accurate documentation. The role supports early detection of hearing loss and requires flexibility for weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and CPR certification.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience with newborns preferred (entry level).

Responsibilities

• Perform Hearing Screens and educate parents on importance of early intervention.
• Comply with company and hospital policies, PPE, vaccinations, and safety protocols.
• Assess screen readiness and perform screenings on eligible babies.
• Collect data and documentation for each screening and ensure accuracy.
• Educate families about screening results and next steps, and schedule follow-ups as needed.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and relay information to relevant parties.
