Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. seeks a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screens and educate families on the importance of early intervention.

You will work on-site at multiple hospital locations with on-the-job training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology. Responsibilities include data collection, accurate documentation, timely upload of results, and coordination of follow-up appointments for refer babies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtained upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Provide education to parents about hearing screens and follow-up actions.
• Collect data/demographics and document results per protocol.
• Upload screen results and reporting by end of each shift; reconcile statistics.
• Notify supervisor of missed and final refer babies and coordinate follow-ups.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate.
