Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is hiring a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site hearing screens in hospital settings and educate families on the importance of early intervention.

You will ensure accurate data collection, adhere to policies, and coordinate with hospital staff to support timely follow-up when needed. The role includes shift-based patient interaction, maintaining confidentiality, and pushing for high-quality care while meeting documentation and compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing loss in hospital settings.
• Provide education to parents about the importance of newborn hearing screens and early intervention.
• Maintain appropriate PPE, complete required vaccinations, and comply with hospital policies.
• Document data and demographics for each baby and ensure accurate screen results and billing.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of shift; reconcile statistics as directed.
