Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns at site locations in Texas. On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certified training will be provided.

You will educate families, document results, and coordinate follow-up appointments while maintaining safety and high-quality patient care. This on-site role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays and physical ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or eligible to obtain on offer.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing using standard protocols.
• Educate parents on results and importance of early intervention.
• Ensure PPE, vaccinations, and compliance as required.
• Assess readiness before screening (fed, quiet, calm).
• Collect baby demographics and document screen data.
• Perform screens and related services for eligible babies each shift.
• Upload results, billing, and state reporting daily.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred cases.
• Schedule outpatient follow-ups for referred babies and assist as needed.
