Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns. You will gather data, conduct screens, educate families, and ensure timely documentation and referrals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens at hospital bedside.
• Collect demographic data and document screen results per protocol.
• Educate parents on the importance of newborn hearing screening and follow-up steps.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and coordinate referrals.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when indicated.
• Uphold PPE, safety, and compliance standards throughout shifts.
