K&L Gates is seeking a Newark-based Midlevel Associate to join the Commercial Disputes practice. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in general commercial litigation, MDL, or class actions, with independent research, pleadings, and discovery management. J.D.

from an accredited law school and NJ Bar eligibility are required; mentorship and growing client contact opportunities are offered. Base compensation ranges from $215,000 to $255,000 per year, with compensation determined

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in general commercial litigation, MDL, or class actions.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and NJ Bar eligibility/admission.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and draft substantive pleadings and motions.
• Organize, conduct, and manage the discovery practice, including e-discovery.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and handle client contact with increasing responsibility.
