Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a contract/hourly mentor for the 2026-2027 school year to support teachers county-wide. The position requires WV Professional Teaching Certificate, a master's in education, and at least 10 years of teaching or administrative experience.

Responsibilities include mentoring new teachers across the county and completing required trainings. The role begins in the 2026-2027 SY; salary is $30/hour, not to exceed 750 hours, funded by mentor grant funds.

Qualifications

• Requires WV Professional Teaching Certificate.
• Master’s Degree in an education field required.
• Minimum of 10 years successful teaching/administrative experience.
• Complete all required county and WVDE trainings.
• The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities as contained in the job description with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Applicants with recent unsatisfactory evaluations, poor interview performance, unfavorable references, or prior dismissal/non-renewal for cause are not eligible.
