Qualifications

• Must have or complete mentor course offered thru WV State Department of Education before end of mentorship.
• Preference for teachers at same school, teaching same or similar subject and grade level as the beginning teacher; mentor must have completed the mentor training institute. Master Credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship to beginning teachers for a year-long mentorship.
• Assignments are made semester-to-semester; mentor is assigned on a semester-to-semester basis pending the placement of the beginning teacher.
