Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking an experienced sales and design professional in Petersburg, VA for a full-time, on-site role guiding buyers from initial interest to closing. You will lead the buyer journey, support a high-performing sales team, and leverage financing programs (conventional, FHA, VA) to close deals.

The position emphasizes objection handling, urgency creation, and thorough prospect qualification, with extensive coaching and peer training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in new home construction sales or similar sales experience.
• Demonstrated success in business development.

Responsibilities

• Overcome buyer objections using proven objection-handling processes
• Create appropriate urgency to buy
• Register 100% of prospects with complete and accurate demographic information and follow up consistently with prospective buyers
• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by setting proper expectations at the time of purchase agreement
• Guide buyers through the mortgage process, lot purchase, sale of their current home, home finishes selections, and the building process through to a successful closing
• Provide ongoing coaching, training, and support to other sales team members by sharing knowledge, experience, and best practices
• Utilize effective, proven sales processes to build rapport and uncover buyers' needs, ability to buy, and timing
• Differentiate the homes by effectively presenting the building process and focusing on buyer needs to demonstrate value
• Financially qualify buyers through a thorough understanding of finance programs (conventional, FHA, VA) and related tax benefits
