Position Overview

This is a night shift position for a New Graduate RN in the Emergency Department at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital.

Unit Highlights

Welcome to MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. The Emergency Department (ED) features 34 beds, including 25 main ED beds and 9 Flex Care Beds. The ED sees approximately 48,000 patients annually and is a primary stroke center. Nurses gain valuable experience caring for patients of all ages with various medical complaints. The department values teamwork, responsiveness, and flexibility. Take advantage of numerous educational opportunities. Candidates must be enrolled in or graduated from an accredited nursing program. ED Tech, Practicum, or Extern experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide proficient nursing care to patients and families with varying needs. You will identify current and potential complex problems, analyze trends, and plan appropriate interventions, either directly or through other nurses.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN License and BLS certification required.

The hiring range for this position is $35.00 - $56.91 per hour.
