Job summary

IMEG in Urbandale, Iowa is seeking a Summer 2027 New Graduate in Structural Engineering. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution with mentorship, training, and growth opportunities from day one.

You will support structural analysis and document development for multiple building types, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in construction administration while advancing sustainable design goals and SE2050 practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong technical and analytical skills related to structural design of buildings.
• Experience with industry-standard engineering software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of structural systems using various materials and engineering software.
• Communicate with clients to understand needs and convey technical information effectively.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and task execution to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and track project progress with senior staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
