Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Illinois is seeking a New Graduate Registered Nurse for full-time shifts. The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, and will guide patient and family teaching while coordinating with other nurses to maintain standards of care.

New Graduate RN orientation lasts 8–16 weeks with a designated preceptor (unit-dependent). Requires an Illinois RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 30 days of hire; 12-hour shifts from 7a–7p or 7p–7a.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physician and monitor hemodynamics, diagnostics and symptoms.
