Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Illinois is seeking a New Graduate Registered Nurse to join our compassionate team. The program includes 8–16 weeks of orientation with an appointed preceptor, followed by full-time 12-hour shifts (7a–7p or 7p–7a) for new grads.

Eligible candidates must be completing or have completed their ADN/BSN/MSN within six months and hold a valid Illinois RN license, with BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and supervise/teach patients and families.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians; monitor hemodynamics and diagnostic results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality and respond to changes in condition promptly.
