Participants will rotate on a PCU unit, complete competency assessments, and engage in extensive simulation and e-learning to accelerate skill development.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations.
• Current BLS card (through AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain before start date.
• No more than 12 months of RN experience.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care and discharge plan with input from patient/family and health team.
• Implements the plan of care with coaching and supervision of staff.
• Evaluates patient and family response to care and adjusts the plan as needed.
• Documents all care and patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record.
