Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain before start date.
• No more than 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and develops a plan of care.
• Implements the care plan with coordination of the care team.
• Documents care provided and patient response in the health record.
• Evaluates patient progress and updates the care plan as needed.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Mentors and supports staff on the unit as required.
• Ensures safe and effective care with adherence to policies and standards.
• Participates in ongoing education and competency validation.
• Supports patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Contributes to quality improvement initiatives on the unit.
