Job summary

HCA Healthcare is launching a Nurse Residency Program at Research Medical Center in the Kansas City area to help new graduates transition from student nurse to registered nurse. The program is paid and focuses on hands‑on experiences, clinical skills, and critical thinking development.

You will be supported by nurse educators, experienced nurses, and peers, with a structured learning path including simulations, preceptorship, and mentored evidence‑based projects across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• RN license or Graduate Nurse in the state.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• No previous experience required.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures and monitor patients per orders, document care.
• Administer medications and monitor responses, notify provider as needed.
• Provide exceptional care, respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow‑up measures.
