Job summary

Banner Health's New Nurse Experience is a full-time RN residency in Tucson, designed to transition new graduates to competent, professional nurses. You will be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators while developing skills in a supportive learning environment.

Successful candidates join the Surgical PCU unit, rotate through experiences, with a requirement to stay on the NNE unit for at least 12 months, and to live within a reasonable commute.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations
• Current BLS card (through either American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date
• No More than 12 months of RN experience
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs, plans care, and collaborates with the health care team.
• Implements the plan of care and provides direct patient care.
• Documents care and communicates patient status to the team.
• Promotes quality and safety in nursing care
