Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Residency Program at Overland Park Regional Medical Center offers new graduate nurses a paid, year-long transition with hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to high-acuity units such as CCU and step-down units. Interviewing December 2026 grads; program aims to build critical thinking and clinical skills.

Residents collaborate with experienced nurse educators and care teams to deliver patient-centered care, complete learning experiences, simulations, and a capstone project

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• RN license or Graduate Nurse in the state.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other orders; document care in patient record.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response and intervene as needed.
• Provide exceptional, timely care; anticipate patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.
