Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Richmond, VA is seeking a New Grad Progressive Care (Step Down) Registered Nurse (RN) to join St. Mary's Hospital.

You will deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, assess patients, develop care plans, and ensure safety in a fast-paced hospital setting. BSN preferred, RN licensure required, BLS/ACLS, with strong opportunities for development and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred, not required.
• Current RN licensure in state of practice.
• BLS/ACLS certification (ACLS preferred at hire, must obtain within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned
