Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical unit at Union West. This full-time, 36-hour weekly role offers a 3:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m. shift with four weekend shifts every six weeks and holiday scheduling options.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or equivalent RN licensure in-state, with BLS, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication. You may participate in ongoing professional development and clinical governance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to safety culture and ethical standards.
