Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a part-time RN for the Union Campus Nursing Float Pool in North Carolina. The role is 24 hours per week with two 12-hour shifts (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.) and every other weekend. Flexibility to float to Atrium Health Union and Union West is required.

Ideal candidates show strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and solid time management. Active RN license and BLS are required; familiarity with EHR systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state(s) where practice is required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol.
• Float to other units as needed.
