UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC, is offering a New Graduate RN opportunity in the Cardiology Specialty Care Unit as part of a winter residency. The unit features a 36-hour work week with rotating day/night shifts and weekend coverage.

Eligible graduates must have NC RN licensure before start and participate in a structured yearlong residency with mentorship and unit-based orientation. Relocation assistance up to $10,000 may be offered, and UNC Health provides competitive benefits and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and eligible for RN licensure in North Carolina.
• For hires after Jan 6, 2014, enroll in a BSN within four years and complete within seven years.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers is required.

Responsabilités

• Education: identify learning needs, participate in education programs, and assess readiness to learn.
• Evaluation of Care: define expected outcomes and communicate within the interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation: provide competent nursing care for complex patients and coordinate care.
• Leadership: contribute to unit goals, promote collaboration and safe practice.
• Patient Assessment: synthesize data to determine care priorities and discharge needs.
• Planning: update care plans with input from patient/family and multidisciplinary resources.
• Research: engage with current studies and discuss implications with the care team.

Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program

RN licensure in North Carolina

BLS for Healthcare Provider
