Job summary

UNC Health Care's Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Unit in Chapel Hill, NC is hiring new graduate nurses for 2027 start dates. The 18-bed unit provides care for patients with intermediate acuity needs, including myocardial infarction, heart failure, and arrhythmias, and supports procedures such as cardiac catheterization and ablation.

Shift: Rotating (7a-7:30pm; 7p-7:30am). Hours: Full-time; 36 hrs/week.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina by the day of clinical care.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families and identify learning needs.
• Evaluate and revise care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implement care for patients with complex problems and safety needs.
• Lead and participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities.
• Assess, plan, and coordinate patient discharge needs with families.
