Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a registered nurse to join a fast-paced medical-surgical unit. You will provide direct patient care, assess needs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Minimum requirements include an RN license and approval by a Board of Nursing. A BSN is preferred, and new graduate sponsorship for permanent residency is not available. Expect ongoing professional development and strict adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license for the state(s) where practice; multi-state license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ethical patient care.
• Continues professional development and maintains certifications.
• Appropriately delegates and documents in the EHR.
