Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (New Graduate) to join our nighttime inpatient team in West Orange, NJ. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement assessment plans, provide care, and coordinate discharge planning for brain and spinal cord injury patients.

Applicants may begin with licensure pending and must complete a structured orientation program, with tuition reimbursement and a clinical ladder to support career growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing.
• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS required at hire.
• Must have flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the program.

Responsibilities

• Implement the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population.
• Initiate ongoing systematic assessment of physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of patients/families.
• Contribute to the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation goal evaluation.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of medical records documentation.

Schedule: Full-Time, Nights, 7PM-7:30AM (Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $46.00/Hour - $61.93/Hour + Shift Differential

In collaboration with the physician and your preceptor, you will ensure implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population.

• Initiating an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of the patients/families.
• Interpreting assessment data and information to develop a nursing care plan which contains problem identification, nursing diagnosis, nursing orders, approaches, interventions, short/long-term goals, and discharge planning.
• Participating as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
• Assuring that documents in the medical record are complete, factual, accurate, and timely.
