Job summary

Banner Health invites new graduate nurses to join the New Nurse Experience (NNE) Residency Program on the Hematology-Oncology unit (3NW) in Tucson, AZ. This full-time position supports your transition from student to professional nurse with mentorship, state-of-the-art simulations, and competency validation.

The program offers multiple career pathways, with weekend/holiday rotation schedules and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations
• Current BLS card (through either American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date
• No more than 12 months of RN experience
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care
• Coordinate and supervise nursing activities on the unit
• Promote continuity of care and effective communication among care teams
• Document care and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Participate in precepting and mentoring of new graduates
