Job summary

Banner Health offers the New Nurse Experience (NNE) residency program in Tucson, aimed at transitioning new graduates to competent, professional nurses. The program provides a collaborative learning environment, hands-on training, and structured mentorship on the Medical Surgical PCU unit.

New grads work shifts across 12-hour blocks with weekends and holidays, guided by preceptors and educators, and have access to a broad range of development opportunities within Banner Health.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• New grads welcome; ADN may be considered at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care.
• Formulate and adjust care plans with multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff on the unit.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
